Why Thermal Scans Alone Don't Protect Solar Yield

A thermal scan is very good at one thing: showing you where a solar site is running hotter or cooler than it should. It is not, by itself, an answer to the question an asset manager actually has, which is what to do about it, and in what order.

Detection Is Not Prioritisation

A full-site scan can surface a long list of anomalies: some are string-level faults costing real generation, others are minor and can wait until the next scheduled maintenance window. Treating every flagged anomaly as equally urgent either overwhelms an O&M team or trains them to ignore the report altogether.

Getting Findings Into the Workflow That Already Exists

The scan is only useful if its output lands where your team already works: inside the asset management platform driving your maintenance queue, not as a standalone PDF that needs to be manually cross-referenced against a site map. That is why our findings are structured for direct integration rather than delivered as a static report.

The goal of a commissioning or O&M scan is not data volume. It is a short, ranked list of faults that are actually costing generation, delivered in a form your team can act on the same day.
